Federal Charges Filed Against Panama City Man for Trafficking in Methamphetamine
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Calvin Eugene Williams, 35, of Panama City, Fla., has been indicted in federal court for trafficking in methamphetamine on two separate occasions. John P. Heekin, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the charges.
Williams was indicted for possessing with the intent to distribute fentanyl and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on April 19, 2024, and for possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine on March 11, 2025. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Florida Highway Patrol, and Bay County Sheriff’s Office. It is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Florida.
An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.
