Jonathan Pullen
Jon brings over 25 years of law enforcement experience and a global perspective shaped by leadership assignments across the United States, Asia, and Latin America. He is a seasoned field operator and trusted executive leader who has contributed at every level of DEA’s mission—from domestic gang and cartel enforcement to international operations coordination and global strategic planning.
Most recently, Jon served as SAC of the Rocky Mountain Field Division, where he oversaw DEA operations across Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. In that role, he prioritized enforcement efforts against fentanyl distribution networks, worked closely with state and local law enforcement partners, and advanced the agency’s mission to reduce drug poisonings and combat organized criminal networks across the region.
Jon previously served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge for DEA in Oklahoma, managing three offices and leading enforcement efforts targeting a range of evolving drug threats. His leadership in that role emphasized violent crime reduction, coordination with tribal and rural law enforcement agencies, and a sustained focus on synthetic opioids and methamphetamine.
His international experience includes service as DEA’s Acting Regional Director in Asia, where he led 18 offices across 12 countries, strengthening partnerships and operational alignment throughout Asia and Oceania. In that capacity, he was stationed in Hong Kong and led efforts to disrupt the global chemical supply chains and financial networks supporting transnational criminal organizations.
Earlier in his career, Jon served as Executive Assistant to both the Deputy Chief and Chief of Operations, where he supported global enforcement coordination across 240 domestic offices and 93 foreign posts. At DEA Headquarters, he also served in the Mexico, Central America, and Canada Section, helping lead efforts to prioritize and target Mexico-based cartels—a critical component of DEA’s broader strategy to dismantle command-and-control elements of the global drug trade.
Jon began his federal service in 2003 at the DEA Academy, joining the Los Angeles Field Division as a Special Agent and later Group Supervisor, leading international investigations into money laundering, narco-terrorism, and trafficking networks. He began his law enforcement career in 1998 as a State Narcotics Agent with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN).
With operational experience that spans U.S. field offices, DEA Headquarters, and some of the most strategically sensitive regions overseas, Jon is exceptionally well prepared to lead the Houston Field Division—one of DEA’s largest and most complex operational areas. His leadership will be critical as we continue to take bold action against cartels, disrupt chemical and financial networks, and strengthen enforcement partnerships across Texas and the surrounding region.
