Fentanyl Free America

DEA’s unwavering commitment to protect the United States from synthetic opioids by disrupting the fentanyl supply chain, reducing its availability, and saving American lives.

"We are making real progress in the fight against fentanyl, but we cannot and will not let up. The cartels are adapting, but so are we. DEA is evolving faster and striking harder to eliminate the threat using enforcement, intelligence, and public awareness. Fentanyl Free America is not a slogan, it’s a mission.  Every life saved makes us a stronger, more resilient nation."

                                                                          DEA Administrator Terrance Cole

Promotional Materials

Fentanyl Free America is a national call to action. Here you’ll find ready-to-use materials that help every agency, school, community, and partner spread the message. Use them, share them, put them to work—because every voice raised against fentanyl brings us one step closer to saving lives and to ending this crisis.

Q: Do we really expect that there will be no fentanyl in America?
A: We want America to be free of the devastation that fentanyl has wreaked on our nation. As long as there are people who seek to profit from suffering there will be attempts to bring fentanyl and other deadly drugs into our nation. We will meet those efforts and educate the public about the risk to minimize demand.

Q: Are you focused on fentanyl to the exclusion of other drugs?
A: Fentanyl is the drug that is killing the most people today. Our intelligence professionals are vigilant in identifying the next threat and the next threat after that.  The STOP Fentanyl Act, which addressed analogs is a huge help in this area.
