OMAHA, Neb. – A 14-month investigation by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents in the Quad Cities Post of Duty helped put away 54-year old Mixtecas Motorcycle Club member Jerry Green for 28 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine, possession of two pipe bombs, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking and felon in possession of a firearm.

Green, of Silvis, Ill., became a DEA fugitive Oct. 4, 2018, after agents seized approximately three ounces of methamphetamine and a 9mm handgun at his residence. Green fled after being interviewed and was arrested Oct. 25, in Nashville, Tenn., by the U.S. Marshals.

Between August and September 2018, Green sold 11 ounces of methamphetamine, a half ounce of heroin, two pipe bombs, a Savage .308 rifle and a fully automatic AK-47 to undercover DEA agents and task force officers.

“Make no mistake about it, there is no such thing as a non-violent drug trafficking organization,” said Special Agent in Charge Richard Salter, Jr. "Drug trafficking is a multi-billion dollar, global enterprise that facilitates and gives rise to gang violence, human trafficking, terrorism, public corruption, robberies, burglaries, home invasions and many other ancillary offenses that tear at the fabric of our communities.”

The Mixtecas Motorcycle Club originated in Chicago around 1985 and has expanded its chapters into Iowa, Wisconsin and Texas with approximately 30 chapters located in Mexico. The Mixtecas are known for trafficking methamphetamine and heroin and for producing and trafficking explosives and firearms.
