Phoenix Drug Trafficker Sentenced to Over Nine Years in Prison

PHOENIX - Special Agent in Charge Cheri Oz and Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Luis Torres Jaramillo was sentenced to 9.25 years prison on July 13, 2022 for his involvement in a drug trafficking organization.
On July 22, 2021, police arrested Jaramillo after observing him conduct a drug transaction in a parking lot. Jaramillo was arrested with 3.54 kilograms of heroin. Law enforcement conducted a search of Jaramillo’s home and located an additional 121 grams of heroin, along with 60 fentanyl pills.
Jaramillo pleaded guilty to one count of Transportation of a Narcotic Drug (Heroin) for sale, a Class 2 Felony. On July 13, 2022, a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge sentenced Jaramillo to 9.25 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.
The case was investigated by the DEA and Salt River Police Department.
