TUCSON - Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced Diego Bernal-Robles, 29, and Cipriano Arturo Rojas-Armenta, 44, were convicted for being involved in a drug trafficking organization.

On September 22, 2020, police concluded a several months long investigation and executed a search warrant where the men were living in Tucson. Police recovered 230 pounds of methamphetamine, 25 pounds of cocaine, and 25 pounds heroin, along with equipment and chemicals used in manufacturing methamphetamine. The estimated value of the recovered methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin is $1,311,000.
 
Bernal-Robles plead guilty to one count each of Possession of a Dangerous Drug (Methamphetamine) For Sale, a class 2 felony offense, and Manufacture of a Dangerous Drug (Methamphetamine), a class 2 felony offense. On December 16, 2021, a Pima County Superior Court Judge sentenced Bernal-Robles to 5 calendar years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.
 
Rojas-Armenta plead guilty to one count each of Conspiracy to Commit Possession of Dangerous Drugs For Sale (Methamphetamine), a class 2 felony offense, and Possession of a Narcotic Drug (Cocaine) For Sale in an Amount Over the Statutory Threshold, a class 2 felony offense. On March 16, 2022, a Pima County Superior Court Judge sentenced Rojas-Armenta to 3 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.
 
Assistant Attorney General Nichole J. Galusha-Troicke prosecuted this case. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Tempe Police Department, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, with assistance from the Maricopa County Drug Suppression Task Force (MCDST) HIDTA Clandestine Lab Team.
