BUFFALO, N.Y. – Acting Special Agent in Charge Keith Kruskall, New York Division, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Jesus Rojas, 32, of Buffalo, NY, who was convicted of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of, cocaine and crack cocaine, was sentenced to serve 36 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura A. Higgins, who handled the case, stated that between Oct. 27, 2016, and Oct. 23, 2017, the defendant on five separate occasions sold cocaine to a confidential source working with law enforcement officers. On Jan. 5, 2017, a search warrant was executed at Rojas’s residence on Military Road in Tonawanda. Officers seized over 25 grams of marijuana and a digital scale. A second search warrant was executed on Oct. 23, 2017, and officers seized another quantity of marijuana.

Today’s sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Buffalo Resident Office.
