Dansville man pleads guilty for his role in meth conspiracy
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. and Special Agent in Charge James Hunt, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, New York Division announced today that Kenneth Hoag , 57, of Dansville, N.Y., pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge David G. Larimer to possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine. The charge carries a minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 40 years, and a $5,000,000 fine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelyn M. Hartford, who is handling the case, stated that on April 7, 2017, the defendant sold methamphetamine to an individual at The Bone Yard, located on State Highway 36 in Dansville. Additionally, on April 21, 2017, Hoag possessed in his tool chest a quantity of methamphetamine. The defendant used and maintained The Bone Yard for the purpose of distributing methamphetamine.
Hoag is one of seven defendants charged and convicted in this case.
The plea is the result of an investigation by the DEA Rochester Resident Office; the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department; and the New York State Police.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 11, 2018, before Judge Larimer.
