TRENTON, N.J. – Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division Valerie A. Nickerson and U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Craig Carpenito today announced an Asbury Park, New Jersey man was arraigned before U.S. District Judge Michael A. Shipp in Trenton Federal Court on an indictment charging him with distributing cocaine base, more commonly known as crack.

Sean Lambert, aka “Pretty Tone,” 47, is charged by indictment with one count of distribution of 28 grams or more of cocaine base and one count of distribution of a quantity of cocaine base. At the time of the alleged crimes, Lambert was on federal supervised release following a 120-month prison sentence for illegally possessing a firearm. Trial is scheduled for April 8, 2019.

On Feb. 28, 2018, and March 9, 2018, Lambert sold cocaine base out of an apartment in a multi-family building in Asbury Park. During the March 9, 2018, sale, Lambert sold more than 28 grams of cocaine base.

Because of his prior felony drug distribution conviction, the drug distribution conspiracy charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum potential penalty of life in prison, and a maximum $8 million fine.

U.S. Attorney Carpenito credited special agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Valerie A. Nickerson in Newark, with the investigation leading to the charges.
