Buffalo, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. and James J. Hunt, Special Agent-in-Charge of DEA’s New York Division, announced that a federal jury has convicted Andrew Garner, 37, of Jamestown, New York of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison. 

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joel L. Violanti and Emmanuel O. Ulubiyo, who handled the prosecution of the case, stated that between April and September 2016, the defendant conspired with others to distribute cocaine in the Jamestown area. 

The verdict is the result of an investigation by the DEA, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division; the Jamestown Police Department, under the direction of Chief Harry Snellings; and the Ellicott Police Department, under the direction of Chief William L. Ohnmeiss Jr.

Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo, who presided over the trial of the case.
