Operation Clean Sweep
AUG 20--On Tuesday, August 19, 2003 the Drug Enforcement Administration with the assistance of Prince William/Manassas City/Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force executed three federal search warrants and attempted to serve sixteen federal criminal complaints. The activity was a result of an earlier operation that began in the year 2000. That on going operation, entitled "Operation Clean Cut", involved the arrest of eighteen individuals who were responsible for distributing more than four hundred kilos of cocaine in the Prince William County, Manassas City, and Manassas Park areas. Law enforcement officers seized over $100,000 in cash and seventeen firearms. Information related to these arrests is not available. Information gleaned from those arrests led to yesterday's operation entitled "Clean Sweep'
Search warrants were executed at two residences in Manassas City and one residence in the City of Manassas Park the locations are as follows:
1. 9011 Centreville Road # 62 Manassas, Virginia 20110
2. 9760 Bragg Lane Manassas, Virginia 20110
3. 8641 Sumter Court Manassas Park, Virginia
Seven of the sixteen arrests warrants have been served thus far. During the search warrants and arrests, law enforcement officers seized over $3,000 in cash and several ounces of cocaine.
