BALTIMORE, MD. - U.S. District Judge James K. Bredar sentenced Raymond Eggleston, 51, of Hanover, Maryland, to 151 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine and cocaine base.

The sentence was announced by Special Agent in Charge Ava Cooper-Davis of the Drug Enforcement Administration, Washington Field Division; United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Acting Special Agent in Charge Jeannine A. Hammett of the Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation, Washington, D.C. Field Office; Howard County Police Chief William McMahon; and Anne Arundel County Police Chief James Teare, Sr.; Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Frank R. Weathersbee; and Howard County State’s Attorney Dario Broccolino.

According to his plea agreement, from at least February 2008 to March 2011, Eggleston distributed crack and powder cocaine through an organization that he led and organized. This drug-distribution organization operated out of 629 Queenstown Road, Severn, Maryland, a residence controlled and partially owned by Eggleston that was known as “the Dirt” or “the Bottom.” Eggleston and his co-conspirators converted powder cocaine into crack at this location. Eggleston directed others to distribute the crack and powder cocaine.

On March 3, 2011, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at 629 Queenstown Road. They recovered cocaine, cocaine base and heroin, during the course of the scheme.

Eggleston and his co-conspirators distributed and possessed with intent to distribute between 3.5 kilograms and five kilograms of cocaine, and 28 grams of cocaine base.
