Fentanyl Dealer Sentenced To 108 Months In Prison
ST. LOUIS - James Shroba, Special Agent in Charge of the St. Louis Division Office, today announced that fentanyl dealer, and manufacturer, Andre Walker, 22, of St. Louis, Missouri, was sentenced to 108 months in prison following his conviction of delivery of fentanyl. Walker was sentenced in the United States District Court in the Southern District of Illinois.
“Fentanyl is extremely potent and lethal,” Special Agent in Charge Shroba said. “Mixing your own fentanyl laced pills, in a makeshift laboratory, shows complete and utter disregard for the safety of our neighborhoods. DEA is proud of the partnerships we share with our law enforcement brothers and sisters, and will continue to do all we can to keep our neighborhoods and communities safe.”
Evidence obtained in this investigation established how Walker distributed a minimum of 324.8 grams of fentanyl in the St. Louis metropolitan area between August of 2016 and April of 2017. A search of Walker’s home found a makeshift pill operation, where Walker was measuring out fentanyl into individual capsules. During this investigation, Walker was also arrested while in possession of 89.4 grams of pre-packaged fentanyl, a loaded .40 caliber handgun, and more than $3,000 in U.S. currency.
This investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Waterloo, Illinois, Police Department. This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois.
