Pasco Man Sentenced To 18 Years For Heroin Trafficking
SPOKANE, Wash. - Arnulfo Gomez Tejeda, 39, of Pasco, Washington, was sentenced on May 13, 2014, after having previously pleaded guilty on September 12, 2013, to possession with intent to distribute heroin. Tejeda was sentenced to an 18 year term of imprisonment, to be followed by a 10 year term of court supervision upon release from prison.
According to information disclosed during the court proceedings, in December 2012, special agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and officers with the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force made multiple purchases of controlled substances from Tejeda. On January 4, 2013, law enforcement officers executed search warrants on Tejeda’s vehicles and at his residence in Pasco, Washington. The officers discovered methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and a marijuana growing operation, as well as multiple firearms. Tejeda has multiple felony convictions.
This case was investigated by the cooperative efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
