California Man Sentenced For Conspiring To Sell Methamphetamine In Southwest Idaho
BOISE, IDAHO - - Enrique Manuel Ruiz-Soto, 45, of Riverside, California, was sentenced March 14, 2011 to 72 months in prison for conspiracy with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Ruiz-Soto was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and serve 10 years of supervised release following his prison term. Ruiz-Soto pled guilty to the charge in March 2010.
Two co-defendants, both Mexican nationals, were sentenced last year. Adolfo Estrada-Mora, 23, was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison, and Jose Rodriguez-Martinez, 33, also known as Alberto Carlos-Macias, 32, of Mexico, was sentenced to 30 months. The two will be deported to Mexico after they are released from prison.
According to court documents, the three defendants admitted that between June 15, 2009
and July 2, 2009, in Meridian, Idaho, they conspired to sell two pounds of methamphetamine for
$22,000 per pound.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement (DEA), Ada County
Sheriff’s Office, Meridian Police Department, and U.S. Immigration and Customs (ICE).
