IDAHO - Ricardo Rodriguez-Avila, 26, a Mexican national charged by two separate indictments, was sentenced on January 5, 2011, to serve 126 months in each case for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and illegal re-entry into the United States. The sentences will run concurrently. Rodriguez-Avila must also serve five years of supervised release after his release from prison.

Rodriguez-Avila, of Idaho Falls, pled guilty in October 2010. Four of seven co-defendants are currently serving federal prison sentences on drug trafficking charges - Teresa L. Mondino, 51 months, Bobbie Lydia Ebrahim, 41 months, David Bruce Paulson, 87 months, and Gilbert Dominguez, 60 months.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement (DEA), Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, and Idaho Falls Police Department.
