Local Meth Dealer Sentenced To Two Years In Prison
PHILADELPHIA, PA - Erik Todd Trovarello, 35, of Philadelphia, Penn., was sentenced today by U.S. District Court Judge Petrese B. Tucker, to 24 months in prison, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In addition to the prison term, Judge Tucker ordered Trovarello to pay a fine in the amount of $1,500, a $200 special assessment, and complete five years of supervised release.
Trovarello pleaded guilty on August 25, 2010 to conspiracy to distribute and distribution of methamphetamine. Trovarello was caught distributing large amounts of crystal methamphetamine out of a U-Haul storage facility located in South Philadelphia. DEA agents made two controlled purchases of crystal methamphetamine from Trovarello before he was arrested in May 2010.
Besides Trovarello’s arrest, there have been three other arrests related to the investigation that are pending in the Pennsylvania State criminal justice system.
The case was investigated by the Philadelphia Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration and investigators with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. It was prosecuted by Robert J. Livermore of the United States Department of Justice Organized Crime and Racketeering Section.
