Lockport Woman Sentenced On Drug Charges
BUFFALO, N.Y. - James J. Hunt, the Special Agent in Charge of the New York Division of the Drug Enforcement (DEA), and U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced that Colette Arne, 67, of Lockport, NY, who was convicted of possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of oxymorphone, a Schedule II controlled substance, was sentenced to two years supervised release by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura A. Higgins, who handled the case, stated that between January 2012 and January 6, 2014, the defendant sold oxymorphone to a confidential source working with law enforcement officers on two separate occasions at the defendant’s Applewood Drive residence. Following the second sale, Arne’s residence was searched with her consent. Officers recovered $20,200 in cash and empty prescription pill bottles. The prescriptions were issued to the defendant and her now-deceased husband.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, New York Division.
