Kansas City Man Sentenced To Thirteen Years In Federal Prison For Drug Trafficking
FORT SMITH, Ark. - Kenneth Goff, 45, of Kansas City, Missouri, was sentenced today to 160 months in federal prison on one count of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. The sentencing decision was jointly by Drug Enforcement (DEA) Assistant Special Agent in Charge Matthew Barden and Kenneth Elser, United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.
According to court records, in December 2015, agents working with the DEA in Fayetteville, Arkansas, began investigating a drug trafficking organization operating in the Harrison, Arkansas area. During the course of the investigation, they learned that Goff was involved in the distribution of methamphetamine in and around Branson, Missouri, and later in Harrison, Arkansas after relocating there. Goff was named in a federal indictment in May 2016 and pleaded guilty in August 2016.
“The lengthy sentence of this individual is a message to criminals that we take methamphetamine trafficking very seriously in the Western District of Arkansas,” stated Barden. “The DEA will continue working with our law enforcement partners and pursue those who threaten our communities with the distribution of methamphetamine and other illegal and dangerous drugs.”
