Houma Man Indicted For Distribution Of Cocaine
NEW ORLEANS - DONALD RICHARDSON, 35, a resident of Houma, was indicted by a federal Grand Jury today on two counts of distribution of crack cocaine.
On or about March 17, 2011 and March 23, 2011, Richardson did knowingly and intentionally distribute crack cocaine.
Each count of the indictment carries a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty years, a fine of $1 million and a minimum of three years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.
Acting Special Agent in Charge Joseph W. Shepherd reminds the public that the indictment is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
The investigation is being conducted by special agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Terrebonne Parish Narcotics Task Force. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney André Jones.
