NEW ORLEANS - Jermaine Holden, 32, a resident of Terrebonne Parish, was sentenced today by U. S. District Court Judge Stanwood R. Duval, Jr. to serve over 16 (200 months) imprisonment after pleading guilty to cocaine charges. In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Duval imposed 10 years of supervised release following the term of imprisonment, during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risks an additional term of imprisonment should he violate any terms of his supervised release.

Holden sold crack cocaine to a confidential source who was working with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Louisiana State Police. The first drug transaction took place on December 4, 2008 in the Misty Bayou apartment complex in Houma. The second transaction occurred on February 26, 2009 in the parking lot of the Money Mart store, which is also located within the Houma city limits.
