TRENTON, N.J. - - Carl J. Kotowski, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division and Ernest Parrey, Jr., Trenton Police Director announced the culmination of a two year multi-agency narcotics investigation targeting members of the Sex, Money, and Murder set of the nationwide BLOODS criminal street gang.

The investigation involving the illegal manufacturing and distribution of narcotics within the city of Trenton began approximately two years ago as the result of anonymous citizens’ complaints received by the Police Director’s Office with regard to a drug trafficking organization led by Bobby Williams.  This criminal organization has been responsible for distributing multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine and heroin since the mid-2000s, while utilizing violence and intimidation to protect and enhance their activities. The organization supplied drugs and weapons to smaller drug trafficking organizations in the Central New Jersey and Northeastern PA areas but, more importantly, has been one of the most violent and significant organizations operating in the Trenton area for years.

On Wednesday, January 13th, the investigation culminated in the simultaneous execution of ten search warrants. Seven of the warrants were executed in Trenton, one in Hamilton Township, one in Lawrence Township and one in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. The agencies that took part in the execution of the warrants were the Trenton Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, the New Jersey State Police, Homeland Security (Cherry Hill Office), the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the West Windsor Police Department, the Morrisville Pennsylvania Police Department and the Falls Township, Pennsylvania Police Department. Search warrants were also authorized for, and executed on, three vehicles.

During the execution of the warrants ten individuals were placed under arrest and charged with various offenses. To date this investigation has resulted in more than 60 arrests and the seizure of  approximately $25,000 in currency,  five vehicles , 2.8 kilograms of heroin, 2.3 kilograms of cocaine, one kilogram of crack cocaine, and two weapons.

Carl J. Kotowski, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Division said, “The DEA is committed to pursue these people who continue to violate the law.  We will work with our law enforcement partners to make sure those pushing poison are taken off the street.”

Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey, Jr. stated, “I would like to thank our local, county, state and federal law enforcement partners for their continued support, commitment and tireless effort. This lengthy investigation was worth the undertaking due to the positive impact it will have on crime in this city. As this administration has previously stated, “We will not tolerate lawlessness”.”

Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri stated “This was a massive investigative undertaking involving federal, state, county and local police agencies across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It represents the remarkable good that can be accomplished when all levels of law enforcement join together to work as a team. An investigation of this scope and magnitude would never have been possible without the manpower, resources and cooperation of all of the agencies involved.”
