Fernandina Beach Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Selling Cocaine
(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) - Wesley Eugene Parker, 25, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for distributing cocaine. He pleaded guilty on May 22, 2017.
According to court documents, on December 28, 2016, and again on January 10, 2017, Parker sold powder cocaine to a confidential informant. The sales took place at Parker’s home in Fernandina Beach. On January 26, 2017, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at that home and recovered firearms, ammunition, and illegal drugs, including marijuana and cocaine. This is Parker’s sixth adult conviction for selling cocaine.
On August 16, 2017, in a related case, Frank Malik (21, Fernandina Beach) was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and for distributing cocaine from the same location as Parker.
These cases were investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, They are being prosecuted by United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
