These indictments are a part of an interagency initiative to target the Americana corridor of South Orlando, which has been plagued by street gangs and gun related violence.

ORLANDO, Fla. - Mark R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement (DEA), Miami Field Division and United States Attorney A. Lee Bentley, III, for the Middle District of Florida, announces the unsealing of six separate indictments charging Rodney (33, Orlando), Felix (40, Orlando), Dave Stephen (27, Orlando), Junior Jeffrey (20, Orlando), Donte Antwan (24, Orlando), and James Edward (32, Orlando) with firearm and drug trafficking offenses.  Griffin, Warren, Alfred, Alexis, and Gedeon have been taken into custody.  If convicted, Griffin and Warren each face a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as an armed career criminal.  Alfred, Alexis, Gedeon, and Walker each face a maximum of 10 years of imprisonment for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Alfred and Warren also face drug trafficking charges carrying a maximum term of 20 years of imprisonment.

In addition to the federal indictments, an additional 116 individuals were charged for Florida drug violations in the Orlando area this week.  Currently 82 state defendants are in custody and 34 are still at large. These are all part of a nationwide sweep that comprised of federal, state and local law enforcement investigations that targeted criminal organizations that were involved in weapons, drugs, and other violent crimes.

The charges supporting an arrest are merely accusations.  Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until proven guilty.

These cases were investigated by the DEA, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and Orlando Police Department.  The federal defendants will be prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
