Three Family Members Sentenced For Cocaine Charges
ORLANDO, Fla. - Mark R. Trouville, Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement (DEA), Miami Field Division, and Robert E. O’Neill, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, announced yesterday that U.S. District Judge Gregory A. Presnell sentenced Maxine (44, Orlando), Martovous (35, St. Petersburg), and Cornelius (33, St. Petersburg) for conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. Miller was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison. Oliver and McKenzie were each sentenced to 12 years and six months in federal prison. All three pleaded guilty on July 23, 2012.
According to court documents, on May 3, 2012, Miller called a DEA confidential (CS) to see if the CS could supply her with one kilogram of cocaine. Miller told the CS that her nephews, McKenzie and Oliver, were in Orlando, from St. Petersburg, and wanted to buy a kilogram of cocaine for $28,000. The following day, Miller, McKenzie, and Oliver went to the Altamonte Mall parking lot to purchase the drugs. After the CS got into Miller’s vehicle, McKenzie removed a small bag from his pocket and showed the CS that it contained money. Soon thereafter, Miller, McKenzie, and Oliver were arrested. The bag containing $11,670 was subsequently recovered from the car.
Both McKenzie and Oliver have prior multiple felony convictions for sale of cocaine and other offenses in the state of Florida. These convictions classified them both as career offenders.
