Federal Grand Jury Criminal Indictments Announced
TULSA, Okla - The results of the September 2014 Federal Grand Jury were announced today by Danny C. Williams Sr., United States Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
The following individuals have been charged with violations of United States law in indictments returned by the Grand Jury. The return of an indictment is a method of informing a defendant of alleged federal crimes which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant’s presumption of innocence.
Raymundo Duran, 29, of Perris, California; Jorge Jesus Campos-Rodriguez, 25, of Colton, California; Robert Wilkerson, 51, of Riverside, California; Steven James Hernandez, 56, of San Bernardino, California; Thomas Carranza, 47, of Carson, California; and Leonel Mercado, 22, of Perris, California are charged with a drug conspiracy involving 500 grams or more of methamphetamine from April 2012 to January 2013.If convicted, the statutory penalty is not less than 10 years and up to life in prison and a $10,000,000 fine. The defendants also face entry of a $500,000 money judgment. The Drug Enforcement Administration is the investigating agency.
