Lyman Man Sentenced On Drug Charge
APRIL 02 ( - PORTLAND, Maine) - John J. Arvanitis, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration for New England and The Maine United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Kenneth Pelletier, 49, of Lyman, Maine, was sentenced to 18 ½ years in prison and 10 years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine. United States District Judge George Z. Singal imposed the sentence following Pelletier’s guilty plea entered on August 25, 2012.
According to Court records, Pelletier traveled to New York on multiple occasions to pick up crack cocaine for further distribution in York County, Maine. Pelletier was held responsible for the distribution of 1.8 kilograms of crack cocaine. Court records further established that this conviction was Pelletier’s 24th adult criminal conviction and third drug trafficking felony conviction.
This case was investigated by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the York County Sheriff’s Office, and the Biddeford Police Department.
