Cocaine Organization Dismantled
ATLANTA, GA. - Michael J. Moore, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, announced the sentencing of six members of a major cocaine organization, all residents of Macon, Georgia, on October 26, 2011. The Honorable Marc T. Treadwell imposed the following sentences:
- Andre Fowler, age 38 - 168 months imprisonment; 5 years supervised release; $100 mandatory assessment fee;
- Hugh Fowler, age 37 - 190 months imprisonment; 5 years supervised release; $100 mandatory assessment fee;
- Adrian Williams, age 41 - 136 months imprisonment; 5 years supervised release; $100 mandatory assessment fee;
- Cheyunski Williams, age 35 - 78 months imprisonment; 3 years supervised release; $100 mandatory assessment fee;
- Antonio Glover, age 37 - 52 months imprisonment; 5 years supervised release; $100 mandatory assessment fee;
- Darrell Andrews, age 33 - 120 months imprisonment; 5 years supervised release; $100 mandatory assessment fee. Federal sentences are to be served without parole.
The drug trafficking organization was headed by Andre Fowler and Hugh Fowler, along with Antonio Glover, who managed the finances for the organization. During its existence, the organization was responsible for obtaining between 10 and 15 kilograms of cocaine each week from a source in Atlanta, Georgia. Once purchased, the cocaine was transported from Atlanta to Macon by couriers employed by the Fowler organization and hidden in stash houses before being sold to area cocaine dealers.
The investigation, code-named “Fowl Play,” was a multi-agency investigation headed by the Drug Enforcement Administration with assistance from agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Macon Police Department. The case was prosecuted by the Lead Organized Crime Drug Task Force Attorney, Assistant United States Attorney Charles Calhoun.
“Through coordinated law enforcement efforts, we were able to dismantle the largest cocaine supply ring in East Macon. Our streets and neighborhoods are safer today with these drug dealers in federal prison,” said United States Attorney Michael Moore.
