"The seizure of more than three kilograms of methamphetamine, along with fentanyl and thousands of dollars in cash, exposes the scale of this drug trafficking operation and the threat it posed to communities across Western New York,” said DEA New York Enforcement Division Special Agent in Charge Farhana Islam. “Bobby Calhoun sought to profit by flooding our streets with dangerous drugs, but thanks to the DEA and our law enforcement partners, we put an end to his operation. The DEA continues to remain steadfast in protecting our communities and holding drug traffickers accountable and today’s guilty plea reflects that commitment.”
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Louis A. Testani. The plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Farhana Islam, New York Field Division, the Cheektowaga Police Department, under the direction of Chief Brian Coons, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office, under the direction of Sheriff Eric Butler, and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 15, 2027, before Judge Arcara.
