The sentence was announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
U.S. Attorney Heekin said: “This local drug trafficking ring has been dismantled thanks to the excellent investigative work of our state and federal law enforcement partners and this successful prosecution by my office. Our citizens deserve safe, drug-free streets, and my office will continue to aggressively prosecute anyone caught peddling deadly narcotics in this district to ensure we deliver on that promise.”

In March 2026, Cromartie was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for his role in the drug trafficking conspiracy, distribution, and possession with intent to distribute charges.
The case involved a joint investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
