Jacksonville Man Indicted for Possessing More than a Pound of Fentanyl
Jacksonville, Fla. – Issac Darnell Henderson (32, Jacksonville) has been charged by federal indictment with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, including more than a pound-and-a-half of fentanyl. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of life in prison. The indictment also notifies Henderson that the United States intends to forfeit assets, which are alleged to be traceable to proceeds of the offense. U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe made the announcement.
On February 14, 2024, Drug Enforcement Administration conducted a search warrant for a residence belonging to Henderson and recovered more than one-and-a-half pounds of multi-colored fentanyl.
An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
