Robert A. Saccone
Robert A. “Rob” Saccone is the Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Seattle Field Division. He was appointed to this position by DEA Administrator Terrance C. “Terry” Cole in December 2025 and is in charge of DEA operations across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.
During his 22-year career with the Drug Enforcement Administration, Mr. Saccone has served in a variety of leadership and operational assignments throughout the United States. Most recently, in February 2024, he was appointed Deputy Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Division, where he assisted in overseeing one of the DEA’s largest divisions and supported complex enforcement operations targeting Transnational Criminal Organizations.
Mr. Saccone is highly familiar with the Pacific Northwest and the Seattle Field Division area of responsibility. In December 2019, he was selected as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Seattle Field Division, where he was responsible for supervising most of the DEA’s enforcement groups in Western Washington.
His extensive DEA experience includes a rotation at DEA Headquarters in November 2017, where he served at the Special Operations Division in the Gang and Violent Crime Section. In May 2013, Mr. Saccone was assigned to the Denver Division’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Strike Force Group, focusing on complex, high-level investigations involving Transnational Criminal Organizations and Consolidated Priority Organization Targets.
While assigned to the Denver Division, he drew on his prior experience in the San Diego Field Division, where he was assigned to the Carlsbad Resident Office beginning in March 2008 and worked OCDETF-driven investigations.
Mr. Saccone began his DEA career in January 2004 as a Basic Agent Trainee and graduated with BAT Class #157 in April 2004. He was assigned to his first duty station in the San Diego Field Division, targeting high-level Transnational Criminal Organizations.
Special Agent in Charge Saccone graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
