Drug-Free ELBERT (DFE) is a community-based coalition in rural northeast Georgia dedicated to reducing youth substance use, with a focus on vaping and marijuana/THC. Born from Elbert Partners for Health, DFE unites parents, youth, schools, law enforcement, and community leaders to create a healthier future. Through evidence-based prevention programs, peer leadership, parent workshops, media campaigns, and civic engagement, we’ve increased awareness, built strong partnerships, and seen reductions in youth vaping. Rooted in connection and resilience, DFE fosters a culture of health, hope, and opportunity for Elbert County’s next generation.
