In November 2024, the DEA Museum’s traveling Faces of Fentanyl memorial exhibit was on display for artists to see in Nashville, Tennessee ahead of the Country Music Awards. With the support of the DEA Educational Foundation and Channel Greatness, musicians toured the exhibit, which contains more than 1,000 photos sent to DEA from families of those lost to fentanyl.  After learning more about DEA’s campaign, several artists used their voices to Join in the Fight to Save Lives.

Step Up. Speak Out. Fight Back.

The Faces of Fentanyl Traveling Exhibit

DEA’s traveling Faces of Fentanyl memorial exhibit is a replica of the DEA Museum’s Faces of Fentanyl exhibit displayed in Arlington, Virginia.  This memorial was created in 2021 to commemorate the lives lost to fentanyl poisoning and overdose deaths.  Families submitted photos of their loved ones to DEA as a way to honor and remember children, siblings, parents and grandparents lost to fentanyl.

DEA Acting Administrator Derek Maltz has this to say about the exhibit, “These faces are more than victims, they are the stolen lives that fuel our fight. DEA is part of the army of good working against the evil of drugs. The cartels deal in death, but we fight for life. This is not about politics; it's about survival. Together, as one nation, we will end this fentanyl crisis and protect our people."
