CONCORD, N.h. – A Manchester man was sentenced in federal court in connection with drug and firearm offenses, U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young announces.

Duron Flynn, 31, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Paul Barbadoro to 48 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release. On March 18, 2024, Flynn pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

“The defendant, a felon who was prohibited from possessing firearms, was undeterred by this prohibition and not only possessed a loaded stolen firearm but also items to traffic cocaine such as scales and more than $8900,” said U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young. “The U.S. Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners will vigorously enforce laws that keep our communities safe from felons who continue to commit federal crimes.”

On July 31, 2020, the Manchester Police Department executed a search warrant in connection to drug activity by another occupant of the target residence. During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement encountered the defendant and found two bags totaling more than 50 grams of cocaine, digital scales, and other items indicative of drug distribution in the defendant’s bedroom.  Law enforcement officers also recovered a loaded stolen handgun from a children’s playhouse on the floor of the defendant’s bedroom, which was next to $8,915.  The defendant was prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction in Pennsylvania.

The Manchester Police Department led the investigation.  Assistant U.S. Attorney Cesar Vega prosecuted the case.
