SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Alfred Cooke, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Drug Enforcement Administration-Merrillville, Indiana, and U.S. Attorney Clifford D. Johnson for the Southern District of Indiana announced that Michael Querry, 52, of South Bend, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Damon R. Leichty after pleading guilty to distribution of methamphetamine.

Querry was sentenced to 144 months in prison, followed by four years of supervised release.

According to documents in the case, in the spring and summer of 2023, Querry supplied methamphetamine to multiple individuals in the South Bend area, and within a three-month period, supplied law enforcement with nearly a pound and a half of methamphetamine. During the same period, traffic stops on Querry resulted in the recovery of a total of five and one-half ounces of methamphetamine.

This case was investigated by the DEA and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with assistance from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, the Indiana State Police, the Mishawaka Police Department, the South Bend Police Department, the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office, the Porter County Metropolitan Enforcement Group and the DEA Regional Drug Laboratory. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Katelan McKenzie Doyle.
