DEA Joins NFL Alumni Health On Sports Biggest Stage to Share the Message: One Pill Can Kill, Your Voice Can Save Lives

DEA is committed to saving American lives through drug enforcement, community outreach, and education.

In February, DEA teamed up with NFL Alumni Health to take the One Pill Can Kill, Your Voice Can Save Lives campaign to Superbowl LIX in New Orleans, LA.  For the second year in a row, DEA and its partners were able to use the power of the shields, and the voices of football legends, to bring critical, life-saving awareness to millions of Americans.

Huddle for Health Symposium

DEA Phoenix Special Agent in Charge Cheri Oz provided an insightful presentation at the 2025 NFL Alumni Huddle for Health Symposium. She discussed everything from drug trends and seizures, to how early you should talk to your kids about fentanyl and explained how traffickers use popular social media platforms to promote and sell poisonous pills to Americans. The program, which was livestreamed in partnership with YouTubeHealth, reached more than 4,200 people.

Just before SAC Oz took the stage, the audience heard a very personal story from Superbowl Champion Ray Lewis.

Step Up. Speak Out. Fight Back.

More than 100 media outlets participated in Media Row at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center over the four days leading up to Superbowl LIX.  For a second year in a row NFL All-Star and Hall of Famer Rod Woodson partnered with DEA to use his voice to help raise awareness.

DEA and NFL Alumni Health leveraged the excitement around Superbowl LIX, and the power of the media, to bring attention to the dangers of fentanyl.
