Rocky Mountain Diversion Investigator Named “Outstanding Citizen of the Year”
Bozeman, Mont. – Rocky Mountain Division Diversion Investigator (DI) Aaron St. Peter was recently named “Outstanding Citizen of the Year” at the Montana Narcotic’s Officers Association (MNOA) Conference in Bozeman.
DI St. Peter was nominated by a colleague from the Montana Department of Justice, Criminal Investigation Division (MT CID). The MT CID Agent used this opportunity to call attention to DI St. Peter’s commitment, collaboration, dedication, work ethic, and expertise to address diversion and support related illicit drug trafficking investigations throughout Montana.
DI St. Peter is described as a humble leader in this excerpt from his nomination form. “Applying his experience from time served working drug enforcement in Boston, and Seattle, he humbly guides mentors and directs those who have the opportunity of having him on their investigative team. Aaron’s mentor style is magnified though example, never saying no to a task, never backing down from a task, and his continued willingness to conversate, counsel, and guide his team members through investigative options, that he pulls from his vast experience, and built network of resources.”
The nomination goes on to say, DI St. Peter was instrumental in the collection, identification and testing of chemicals and equipment recovered in a fentanyl lab in Missoula. He was also honored for his work helping to dismantle an international poly-drug DTO based out of Mexico, which was operating in Montana. The complex, multi-year conspiracy investigation closed with 28 federal indictments and guilty pleas, resulting in 144 years of prison time for those involved.
