On December 12, 1957, Narcotics Agent Wilson M. Shee of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Federal Bureau of Narcotics was killed in San Francisco, California, by a drug-addicted informant. He was 36 years of age at the time of his death.

Born in San Francisco, Agent Shee began his federal career in 1941 with the Department of the Army as a laborer at the Navy Yard, Mare Island, California, and was later promoted to clerk. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945. He joined the Federal Bureau of Narcotics as a clerk-interpreter in December 1949 and was quickly promoted to agent. He was commended for his brilliant undercover work and Chinese language skills.

Although his demeanor was quiet, his competence was recognized throughout the FBN. In one important case, he posed as a New York narcotics wholesaler and arrested three Chinese traffickers attempting to smuggle $100,000 worth of opium into Alameda, California. For his fine work, the Treasury Department presented him a $500 merit award.

Agent Shee was survived by his wife, Evelyn May Wong.
