St. Petersburg man sentenced to over twelve years in prison for selling cocaine
TAMPA, Fla. - Shamon D. Heatly (37, St. Petersburg) was sentenced to 12 years and 7 months in federal prison for selling cocaine. Heatly had pleaded guilty on October 28, 2019.
According to court documents, an undercover law enforcement officer met with Heatly, at which time Heatly directed the officer to get into his car. There, Heatly sold the officer cocaine. At the time of the offense, Heatly had been previously convicted of numerous narcotics offenses, including multiple counts of possession and delivery of cocaine.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration Tampa District Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the St. Petersburg Police Department. It was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
