“Operation Rock Solid" Indictments
Penetrate Cleveland Cocaine Operation

Cleveland, OH- United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio Gregory A. White, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Resident Agent in Charge Reginald Cheney and Cleveland Police Department Chief Edward Lohn announced the successful conclusion of “Operation Rock Solid”. “Operation Rock Solid” was a multi-jurisdictional narcotics investigation promoted through the federal Safe Streets Program. A thirteen-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Cleveland charged nine individuals with violations of numerous federal narcotics statutes including Conspiracy, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Crack Cocaine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana

Federal charges were unsealed against the following persons based on the yearlong investigation into drug trafficking that supplied cocaine dealers on Cleveland’s West Side:

• Hector Campas-Lopez, 62, Douglas, Arizona
• Stanley Mitchell , 36, Maple Heights, Ohio
• Norman Pomales, 24, Cleveland, Ohio
• Robert Dupree, 21, Cleveland, Ohio
• Brian Murphy, 26, Hudson, Ohio
• Daniel Runner, 22, Cleveland, Ohio
• Charles Poole, 22, Cleveland, Ohio
• Florin Tarla, 27, Cleveland, Ohio

This investigation included enforcement operations in Ohio, Arizona, Georgia and West Virginia. Agencies that participated in this case also included the United States Marshals Service, Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification, Cuyahoga County Sheriffs Department, Internal Revenue Service and the Lakewood Police Department.

“The culmination of this investigation should provide immediate relief to citizens in Cleveland whose neighborhoods were previously overwhelmed by this drug organization.
