DEA DETROIT CEREMONY REMEMBERS THOSE WHO
PERISHED ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

SEPT 11--Detroit, MI- On September 11, 2003, the employees of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Detroit Field Office honored those who perished two years ago in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and United Flight #93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The Honorable Chief United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan Lawrence P. Zatkoff was the special guest who readministered the oath of office to all the employees of the DEA Detroit Office. SAC Braun commented, "We readministered the oath of office last year, and once again, I can't think of a better way to rededicate ourselves to our important work in our Nation's fight against drugs and our war on terrorism. And it's our pledge to those who lost their lives just two years ago that we will never forget them. Judge Zatkoff praised the work of the DEA around the globe. He said, "You continue to make the United States a safe and proud nation."

As part of the ceremony, a remembrance wreath was placed in the DEA Training Room adjacent to the DEA Wall of Honor.
