Young Presidents Organization Gets An Inside Look At The DEA In Detroit

YPO members at the gun range during weapons familiarization                Detroit, MI- On February 6, 2003, members of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Greater Detroit Chapter, were given detailed briefings about the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its global, national and local strategies to combat drug trafficking. The YPO is made up of young Chief Executive Officers throughout the United States that have attained specific financial and sales goals within their respective fields.

As part of the day's events, members of the YPO were given presentations on international conspiracy investigations, clandestine laboratories, drug-related homicide investigations, financial investigations, and the Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) concept. Members also received an in-depth briefing on the importance of maintaining a drug-free workplace and how to help keep kids drug free. Members also had the opportunity to participate in a weapons demonstration at a local gun range, which familiarized them with the various weapons used by DEA Agents and Task Force Officers on a daily basis.
