Senator Feinstein and Dr. Earle were the recipients of the Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area Beacon Award.

Approximately 28,000 girls between the ages of five and seventeen participate in the Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area, which covers Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties. The Girl Scouts of San Francisco Bay Area invited DEA SFFD Demand Reduction Coordinator Lee Chamberlain to serve on the nominating committee for selection of the Board of Directors and to assist in the planning and selection of a new Board President. The SFFD works with the Girl Scouts to offer support and mentoring alternatives for their future developments. SAC Pena was elected to and will serve on the San Francisco Bay Area Girl Scouts Board of Directors.

SAC Pena congratulated Senator Feinstein on her award and assured Senator Feinstein about the SFFD’s dedication to the methamphetamine threat in the Northern and Central California areas and that DEA is dedicating all available resources to address the threat of the drug to our communities.

Questions may be directed to DEA Special Agent Casey McEnry at (415) 436-7994.
