DEA Philadelphia Employees Participate in 21st Annual Unity Day

DEA Employees at Unity Day celebration

On Sunday, August 18, 2002, employees from DEA Philadelphia Field participated in the 21st Annual Unity Day sponsored by WDAS/WHAT radio stations in Philadelphia. More than 200,000 people attended this daylong event. DEA had a booth in the Anti-Drug Pavilion with 49 other anti-drug organization in Philadelphia. DEA provided current anti-drug literature and information to attendees and provided activities for the children. Action super hero "Spiderman" took photographs with the children and encouraged them to remain "Drug Free." In addition, GS Johnny Fisher along with representatives from WDAS and the Philadelphia Police Department presented Philadelphia Mayor John Street with a certificate of appreciation for his anti-drug efforts through Operation Safe Streets.
