DEA Philadelphia Announces
" Operation Last Chance"

ASAC Stephen Churchill and U.S. Attorney Thomas Marino

On February 5, 2004 Thomas A. Marino, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and ASAC Stephen Churchill conducted a press conference in Scranton, Pa. concerning the culmination of a interstate Title III heroin investigation. Operation Last Chance resulted in the indictment of 21 people of which 20 have been arrested. Agents executed search warrants in Pennsylvania and New York seizing guns, money, and heroin. The investigation was conducted in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, Bloomsburg Police Department, Columbia County Drug Task Force and Hazelton Police Department.
