Federal Drug Agents Foundation Donates $1,000 to Widow of Columbian National Police Officer

Recently Colombian National Police Director, Major General Jorge Daniel Castro-Castro, visited the Drug Enforcement Administration's New York Office. Accompanied by David L. Gaddis, DEA Regional Director Bogota Country Office, Major General Castro-Castro met with John P. Gilbride, Special Agent in Charge DEA New York, Roslynn R. Mauskoph United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, David N. Kelley United States Attorney, Southern District of New York and the Federal Drug Agents Foundation. In addition Major General Castro-Castro toured the New York Field Division, New York Drug Enforcement Task Force and Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force.

The Federal Drug Agents Foundation (FDAF) presented Major General Castro-Castro with a $1,000.00 donation for the family of Sub-Intendente Orlando Carreno Duarte who was killed October 1st 2004 in Cali, Colombia while conducting narcotrafficking investigations. He worked for the Direccion Nacional de Inteligencia. He is survived by his wife Luz Estela Ordonez. The FDAF was formed in 1994 by a group of leaders from the worlds of business and the professions. The Foundation's mission is to provide a support mechanism for the professionals of the Drug Enforcement Administration, their families and whenever possible, their law enforcement counterparts.
