DEA Shreveport Supports Teachers' Anti-Drug Efforts

AUG 11--On August 11, 2003, a back to school in-service was held for the professional staff of the Webster Parish School System. Each year the staff is required to receive an hour block of instruction on drugs. This year, Ms. Laura Evans of the Webster Parish School Board, contacted Resident Agent in Charge Keith Billiot of the DEA Shreveport office. Resident Agent in Charge Billiot was pleased to be able to accommodate Ms. Evans' request that this year's drug education block be presented by DEA. Resident Agent in Charge Billiot contacted New Orleans Division Demand Reduction Coordinator George Cazenavette and forwarded the request. Opening remarks were given by School Superintendent Mr. Wayne Williams and then Special Agent Cazenavette presented a drug overview to approximately 500 members of the professional staff of the Webster Parish School System. The in-service was held at Minden High School, home of the Crimson Tide. Roll Tide!!
