What: Press conference advising on the seizure of 70lbs Crystal Methamphetamine

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), in a coordinated effort with the Monterey Park Police Department and the San Gabriel Police Department, have successfully dismantled a crystal methamphetamine (ICE) operation that led to the seizure of more than 70lbs of "ICE" methamphetamine.

DEA intelligence indicated that JAO Chun-Yin and Thai Tong LONG were manufacturing methamphetamine in Monterey Park, CA. JAO was staying at a hotel in Monterey Park, CA. Continuous surveillance was established on JAO's hotel room. JAO later met with LONG and both were followed to 172 Wells St, San Gabriel, CA.

On 8/3/2003, a search warrant was executed at the Wells St. residence where authorities discovered an operational methamphetamine laboratory in the garage.
