Two of Sunday's
Football Heroes to Speak with Area Kids
OCT 27--CHICAGO, IL - Chicago BEARS Jerry Azumah and Charles Tillman will take some of the positive energy generated by Sunday's victory over the Detroit Lions to Chicago School Kids as they take part in the Drug Enforcement Administration's annual RED RIBBON Week Anti-Drug Celebration tomorrow. The Chicago area news media is invited to take part in this 'Kick-off' event on Tuesday October 28, 2003, at 10:00am, as part of DEA's weeklong, national drug awareness campaign that encourages school age children to make positive choices.
Today, the RED RIBBON Campaign is the most recognizable teaching tool in the nation reaching millions of American school kids with a powerful message about drug abuse. No other single drug prevention movement in history has impacted so many lives.
The DEA is proud to 'Team-up' with the Chicago Police Department, the Chicago BEARS and Chicago's KIDS to show that every child makes a difference.
